On Sunday, Temple visits Halton Arena to take on Charlotte. It gets started at 4 p.m. EST. The Owls beat the 49ers 89-88 on Feb. 6 and are 4-1 against them over the last four years. Charlotte is in seventh place in the conference and just behind sixth place Temple with a chance to catch up. In an 82-74 win over La Salle on Feb. 21, Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson put up 23 points and 18 rebounds for the Owls. With 1.8 steals per game and 1.1 blocks per game, he has team-best marks in both categories. For the 49ers, Willie Clayton finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds in the 76-58 loss to Saint Louis on Feb. 16. He averages 8.6 points per game in addition to a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game. From a tempo-free perspective, Charlotte is strong in free throw rate at 44.1 percent. This is good enough for second in the conference and 18th in the nation.

- AP voters think more highly of Temple and ranked them in the AP Top 25 more often over the past 10 years than Charlotte (28 vs. four).

- The Temple scoring leader (Khalif Wyatt, 511 points) has more points than the Charlotte scoring leader (Chris Braswell, 274 points).
