Amanda Marcum Enfield, is the Supermodel Wife of College ...

Amanda Marcum Enfield is the supermodel wife of college basketball coach Andy Enfield of Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), who surprisingly made it to the NCAA Tournament.

She really is a supermodel and has appeared in the covers of well known magazines, such as Elle, Vogue and Maxim. She has also been part of ad campaigns with Victoria Secret, Liz Claiborne and Armani.

According to this account in Sports Illustrated the couple met in 2003 when the coach gave Amanda a ride from New York City to Boston so she could watch the Oklahoma State Cowboys in their second round NCAA game.

The pair started dating soon after and got engaged six months later. She is from Oklahoma and her resume is just as impressive as her better known husband. Coach Enfield has worked under some big college basketball names some of which include Rick Pitino and Mike Dunleavy.

If you follow sports you might remember the incident in which another beauty queen, Katherine Webb the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A. J. McCarron, gained attention during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game national broadcast, when 73 year old announcer Brent Musburger called her “lovely lady” and “beautiful”, and mentioned to former quarterback Kirk Herbstreit who was his partner in the booth that day that: “You quarterbacks get all the good-looking women”. Ewwwww!

In the case of Amanda Mancum Enfield the buzz is definitely growing and we should not be surprised if, during the broadcast of the FCGU game against Georgetown, the cameras are looking for her. I would not expect any of the commentators to make statements about her good looks though. Musberger was forced to apologize, although Webb was very gracious about the incident.

The couple seems to be happily married and have three children together. Enfield was hired by FCGU while his wife was in the hospital after giving birth to the couple’s only son and she reportedly had to ask him to “please be quiet” when he kept talking on the phone during conversations to discuss his current position.
