Santa Monica and Palisades are headed to a second-round Division I state playoff showdown on Saturday night at Santa Monica that should fire up surfers and beachgoers galore.
Jordan Mathews scored 37 points and Trevis Jackson had 18 points in Santa Monica's 73-68 victory over Narbonne.
Palisades upset Mission Viejo, 72-70. Louis Kurihara scored 21 points and Ammar Rehman had 16.
Crenshaw knocked off Crescenta Valley, 89-74, with Micah Winn scoring 32 points.
