In a game where Good-Shooter-Bass would have put up a 20 spot, Bad-Shooter-Bass finished with 11. The effort was definitely there and he gets a healthy bump for completely crossing up ValanCHEWnas.
…and on the 7th day, Paul Pierce rested…at least, it felt that way. After making the wise decision to sit out last night’s debacle, Pierce came out firing. In 24 minutes, Pierce scored 15 points, dished out 4 assists, cleaned up 4 boards, and entered the top 20 in most points scored in NBA history. Pierce then dropped the mic and waited for Gino.
In 20 minutes, KG stuffed the stat sheet and FINALLY had an efficient shooting night. In the process, he passed “the logo” Jerry West and now ranks 15th in all time points scored. He celebrated by throwing down a turn-back-the-clock alley-oop and nearly threw his back out dancing to the Bee Gees.
After the game, Doc Rivers likened Avery Bradley to Scottie Pippen. That is an over-statement. Luckily, we can still praise him for the good work he does. He didn’t shoot particularly well, but he treated fans to his patented pressurized pocket pick.
Lee played a whopping 39 minutes tonight. That is a TON. You would hope for more production out of Lee given the amount of clock ticks, but there is plenty of things Lee does outside of points, boards, assists, and steals. Lee serves as a steadying influence when sent out there with the second unit, which will be invaluable come playoff time.
It’s hard to impress in 3 minutes of garbage time.
See “DJ White.”
It’s hard to evaluate this game for Green considering the competition and the time in which that competition was actually competing. I’m very happy that Green was competing continuously, which was a sharp departure from how he played against Charlotte.
You take this game from Wilcox every time if you could.
I’m still waiting for Crawford to have a game where he really hurts the C’s. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how willing of a passer he has been. Hopefully he keeps it up as his scoring ability is undeniable.
It’s clear that Williams is still adjusting to the idea of being a point guard. He had two turnovers in five minutes. His signing is the quintessential “move for next season.”
A rare game where Terry played the role of distributor. Let’s see this type of production against good teams.
Rivers was not only able to motivate his players after last night’s suckfest, but he was also able to limit minutes on a SEGABABA. Bravo!
