Coming off their recent loss in the SEC Tournament to Ole Miss on Friday night, many Missouri Tigers basketball fans were curious to see where Mizzou would be seeded in the NCAA Tournament when the brackets were released on Sunday night.
Missouri was awarded a No. 9 seed by the NCAA Tournament selection committee and will face Colorado State on Thursday.
Missouri finished the season with a 23-10 record overall and finished sixth in the SEC regular season standings with a 11-7 record during conference play.
The No. 9 seed the Tigers received was better than the No. 11 seed we predicted for the Tigers earlier on Sunday.
If Mizzou is able to get past Coloradio State, the Tigers would like face the Louisville Cardinals, who Mizzou lost to earlier in the season in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in the Bahamas.
Also of note is that the Saint Louis Billikens are a No. 4 seed in the Midwest region as well.
