Girls basketball: Liberty 68, Putnam 52 | OregonLive.com


MILWAUKIE – Senior Kylie Wruble scored 14 points and junior McKenzie Oster added 12 points as Liberty beat Putnam 68-52 on Friday in a Northwest Oregon Conference girls basketball game at Putnam High School.


Seniors Hannah Langbehn and Emily Flinn each scored 11 points for the Falcons (7-9, 5-1 NWOC), who are off to a 5-1 conference start after going 2-8 in nonconference play.


Wruble scored 10 of her 14 points in the first half time help Liberty take a 33-26 at halftime. The Falcons then pulled away in a dominant third quarter in which they outscored the Kingsmen 23-10 to take a 56-36 lead.


Junior Kelsea Baton scored a game-high 15 points to lead Putnam (4-11, 2-4).


Liberty returns home to play St. Helens on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
