This will be the third time that these two teams meet up this season and with a fourth and final game just a few weeks away, this Jazz teams really needs to come out on top. Utah is in a battle of its own that includes the Rockets and Lakers, as all three teams are fighting for the last two available spots in the Western Conference playoff picture. For Memphis their spot is already sealed, but adding on to the win column will only improve their seed and the opponent they face in the first round.
I really expect a fight from the Jazz, they have really not looked their best over the last few weeks and have played more of a shooting game, something that just is not their style of play; they are a post-up, grinding, rebounding team that thrives best around the rim. They need to come out swinging because the Grizzlies are not going to give anything away for free and if Utah wants this game, they are going to really have to fight for it. Depending on how it goes, Memphis might elect to rest a few players but I still think that once Utah hits their high, they need to keep it there if they want a chance at winning.

The way the Jazz are playing is uninspiring but I think that it is just that, this might be what really gets them to push out. They are at home and last time they played here they were actually booed, something no player ever wants to hear. This is motivation enough to make a stand on your own hardwood and given the battle that awaits them, they might want to pick things up now. I like the Jazz +5 at home, even if they don’t win this game, I see them giving everything they have for their fans.
