The Patriots held a second-half lead, before the Saints rallied for a 68-54 win in Gainesville on January 12.
CF has battled hard during Mid-Florida Conference play and several players have turned in outstanding efforts.
Here's a look at some of them:
KATURA HARRISON: The sophomore forward has made 24-of-41 shots and averaged 19 points over her last three games. Harrison's best effort of the season was a 14-of-23 shooting effort, as she finished with 30 points and 17 rebounds in a loss to Hillsborough last Wednesday night on the road. Harrison, who has scored in double figures four times during MFC play, set the season-high mark for points and rebounds in a game in the HCC contest.
SARAH HUNTER: The sophomore point guard has scored in double figures in eight of the last 10 games and has averaged a team-best 12.3 points per game. The transfer from Wright State has played all 40 minutes on four occasions in MFC play.
R'KIYAH SCOTT: The freshman guard has scored in double figures in five times in six MFC games and had a streak of six straight games where she played every minute.
RONA GABRIEL: The sophomore forward has grabbed double-digit rebounds four times this season, with two of those coming in MFC play.
VERJELL BOWLEG: The freshman forward grabbed 10 rebounds in the first meeting against Santa Fe, which was one of her season-high set against the Brevard Flames on December 15.
LA'DERRICKA SPILLMAN: The freshman guard scored 12 points last Saturday night against FSC-J, which was her highest scoring effort since she scored 23 against Broward on December 8.
LA'SHAUGHN JONES: The freshman forward established a season-high with nine points last Saturday night against FSC-J. She also tied her season-high with nine rebounds in the same game. It was the fourth time this season that Jones had pulled down nine rebounds.
ON AIR: If you can't make it out to Patriot Gym on Wednesday night, the game against Santa Fe can be seen on the internet at www.psblive.com.
RIVALRY RENEWED: With its loss to SFC earlier this season, CF had a two-game winning streak against its rival snapped.
The Patriots need a win to avoid losing the season the season series to the Saints for the first time since 2010.
CF has won five of the last eight meetings between the schools, but SFC holds a slim lead at 7-6 dating back to 2009.
LATER THIS WEEK: The CF women's basketball team will host Daytona State on Saturday afternoon at 5:30.
The Patriots have lost seven straight to the Falcons dating back to February 2010.
CF lost 66-56 in Volusia County earlier this season.
