MOUNDRIDGE - Mother Nature is playing a mean trick on the Class 2A sub-state basketball tournament scheduled this week in Moundridge.

For the second consecutive day Moundridge officials have decided to cancel first-round games.

The top-seeded Moundridge High School girls’ basketball team - 17-3 overall - was going to play No. 8 Canton-Galva (2-18) at 7 tonight, but inclement weather conditions forced officials to postpone games.

Boys’ first-round games will be played Wednesday, Feb. 27, and girls’ first-round games will take place Thursday, Feb. 27.

A new bracket for the Moundridge 2A sub-state tournament will be released soon.
