Connecticut Sun have confirmed that British guard Jo Leedham will at least go to the team’s training camp this year by signing her to rookie contract. Not positive news for Great Britain NT this summer.
Selected in the third round of the 2010 WNBA Draft with the 27th overall pick, Leedham is a native of Ellesmere Port, England who averaged a team-high 16.2 points along with 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists while representing Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She has played professionally in France, Australia and Poland.
“It’s been a few years since we drafted her, so we are excited to see what she can bring to our team,” Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said.
