The Crystal Ball: Kings at Spurs | The Big Fundamental | Spurs ...

Back in the olden days, I would have been really upset with the team after Wednesday’s loss and I would have done a really sarcastic post about how much the team sucks. I’m older now (ok, not really) and I KNOW that the team is completely disgusted with themselves. I expect an extra-super-focused effort tonight.

1. Song of the Game: Push It by Garbage

It’s hard for me to believe this album is 15 years old and that I saw them not too long after it came out. Damn, I’m old.

Push It” might not be their best tune, but it is good and it is what I expect us to do against the Kings. The Kings are an undisciplined group and we should get whatever we want offensively if we give any kind of effort at all.

2. Who Has to Be Stopped: Tony Parker

The Kings don’t have anybody who can handle Parker in the least. In the last game, up in Sacramento, the Kings put Tyreke Evans on him for long stretches. Tyreke just doesn’t know how to work hard on defense and it takes great effort just to have a chance with Tony.

3. Who Has to Go Off: All The Kings…

…but especially Cousins. If Cousins has his game going then he might be able to spark his team to an offensive show. An offensive show is the only way the Kings stay in this one at all.

4. And the Crystal Ball Says….:

…Spurs By 30+ before the 4th even starts. That’s what kind of top to bottom effort and focus I expect. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t bury them completely.

5. I’m Wrong If….:

…I won’t be. Period.

6. Odds and Ends

I still can’t bring myself to watch the last part of the Suns game on Wednesday. I’m up to the mid-third quarter where we are up 11 and I know I’ll vomit if I watch us blow that lead. And I know we do.
